I am now blogging at Blogg-ed Issue

Thursday, November 10, 2005

Brett has been in Singapore for r a few days for a conference, meanwhile, mum & dad a and I, and cary on tuesday, have been very busy doing a secret "rennovation rescue". He's coming home tonight (read tomorrow morning, at some terrible hour), and I'm sure the look on his face IF he realises will be priceless. Pity I'm going to be asleep!

Elisha has been mimicking so much the last few days. TOday he grabbed a big teddy from somewhere, and brought it to me, and I sais something quite enthusiastically about the teddy bear, and he said quite cleary "teddy bear". Pity he never says these things more than once.

Very tired, as you can tell by the fact that I'm not fixing my typos... nighty night.

Elisha and I picked up his shoes from the shops yesterday, and today for the first time he wore shoes. I was surprised at how easily he adapted. Sure he couldn't walk all that well, but at least he was willing to give it a go. He wore them to church and kept them on until we got home again.

A few things while I'm thinking of them.

Went away to camp for the weekend. The first time leaving Elisha at home. I was very sad, but more terrified that he WASN'T going to miss me.

According to Brett he chucked the biggest tantrum ever that night because he wasn't allowed to play with his cup of yoghourt and spoon. And then in the morning he had a little hissy fit because I wasn't there to give him his first feed of the day.

He was very pleased to see me and I got loads of brilliant little smiles. Life's simple pleasures.

While in Melbourne I went to the op-shop and bought him a selection of toys for $1.50, I have to say they are probably the best bargain I've ever bought. Managed to pick up a jigsaw toy for 50c, and it normally costs well over $30 I think. I also bought this little baby puppet and he loves it. "Bubba" is a new word in his vocab since the doll has arrived.

He has also started kissing when asked, and this morning he was playing with "Baa" and Lavendar and he made them kiss each other. Then Riley and his Mummy came over to play and Riley got a hug and a kiss. They were some real melt your heart moments.

Just wanted to record a cute little Elisha fact... this afternoon when I was feeding him something I did made him laugh, and then he was laughing and trying to feed at the same time. Interesting combination.

Ah, yes Blogger, I do realise that you still exist. But I've been busy over here: www.arach.net.au/~ultrabert, until comment spammers put a stop to that. Darn those comment spammers.

But now I need to write. There has been so much going on and it's all just floating around in my head, I think writing will be the basis for a bit of a brain drain.

Let's put it all nice and briefly for now, and then when I have time I'll expand on everything.

Biggest one first.

Monday I had a miscarriage.

Little fluff next.
All the stuff I need to to do get ready for our trip to Melbourne.
Elisha learned to walk last week.
He's got seven teeth now.
I missed his thirteen and fourteen month letters.
Elisha is currently in his cot chucking a bit of a sad.

Oookay, that'll do for now. Very, very busy. Just glad to find you alive blogger.

Things have been going really well for us. We've bought a house. Can't wait to move. Husband passed his PhD wonderfully, and has since been offered a five year research only position, which is exactly what he wanted. God has been very good to us.

In other news we are now officially TTC, and I'm very excited about this. I wonder how long it will take. Patience is a virtue grasshopper.
Well, I haven't been very good again. *sigh* Actually I've been using diaryland, but with about as much success. And I really felt like writing an entry but I can't seem to get my diaryland site to come up. I can make the entry but then not view it. Therefore I thought I shouldn't put my urge to write an entry to waste....... and here we are.

So much for keeping an online journal... I have been slack haven't I. Well I'm back again. Let's see how it goes this time.

Weekend was good. My parents had a garage sale, and I helped out. I managed to get very sunburnt knees. I do not understand how one obscure part of the body can get burnt like that. The pain, I haven't been sunburnt for years. Well, I guess it was a good reminder for me why getting sunburnt is bad.

Absolutely could not get out of bed this morning. Well, I spose that can't be true, coz here I am, and I'm not in bed. Nothing majorly exciting to report. Just another working day.
I am about to enter the blogging world... but first I gotta go home
Til tomorrow
